Day 17 was filled with work in the morning, and painting walls in the afternoon and evening. My folks are moving out of my childhood home. It's a big deal, and a little sad to think they won't be there anymore. There's been a lot of work involved, an I wanted to pull some of my own weight--so I went up with the two older kids and helped paint from 3-10 PM. Needless to say, everything else took a back seat today. I thought about counting a mile because of all moving I had to do while painting, but I won't.
Day 18 I did a little better--I made sure to do a Headspace and a mile walk during the work day. I've done some Jesus the Christ reading, but I haven't gotten a total 1% in as of 10:20 PM tonight. We took our oldest to see Tarzan at Hale Center Theater, so that's taken up the evening. It wasn't my favorite performance--it's hard when you know what happens, and the songs aren't the greatest. But it was fun to watch his reactions and seem to be into it. I had to keep reminding him to whisper each time he had a question. I did appreciate the actors and the passion with which they performance. It make me wish I was braver to do things like that!
